Food & Wine

We have been very fortunate to have stumbled on some really fine restaurants. The house wine is pretty good, but not exceptional. The prosecco was great, however, and 11 1/2% alcohol. These gals are not much into the wine, though. But they are plenty into the fun.

The school is challenging but is getting more fun day by day. We will have more time to walk for enjoyment, sleep later and stay out later after we move tomorrow! Yea!

Oggi sera una bella giornata!

Ciao!

Another excerpt from Cece's correspondence with Phil. The dates may be off, but you get the drift.

Today is cool and rainy. Neat thunder. The zuppa and salads are wonderful. Yesterday I had a plate with cooked eggplant, artichoke, and tomatoes with cheese and bread - wow. I miss you.

XXXOOO
ciao,
bella esposa y madre, cece

Excerpt from an email Cathy sent.

As some of you know, our first house was less than perfect. We were able to move today and are much happier. It is clean, the landlady knows how to smile and it's only a 10 min walk to school, not 40.

It is astounding how old this entire city is and also astounding how HUGE the Duomo is. We are all tired and have made some interesting acquaintances. David is better looking in person than I would have thought. We haven't decided what we are doing tomorrow, but are going to Siena and San Something or other on Sunday. Seven of us are going together - it should be fun.

Thank God for Ria. If not for her we would be eating who knows what. xxx to all, me
